Prolific artist Camilla Hounsell Halvorsen has created fun and functional eco-artwork in her Treat Bowl line. The brightly colored bowls are made from recycled lampshades with yarn from the Mirasol Collection in Peru.
Treat Bowls are designed for serving fruit, cakes or candy, or for storing your bedroom or bathroom trinkets.
“The frame of the lampshades is given a new function and look, with a sense of humor, care and color,” explains artist Camilla Hounsell Halvorsen. “By using the yarn from the Mirasol Collection from Peru, we support local communities in the highlands of Peru.”
The Mirasol Project supports local communities in Peru through the sales of the Mirasol Yarn Collection.
“The bowls are handmade, original, recycled, and also support a great humanitarian cause,” explains the artist.
