Italian designers Dante Bonuccelli and Lamm have created an amazing Text-ile Reclining Chair made from discarded laptop keyboards. The Text-ile Chair is constructed from Voice Systems’ discarded keyboards, a system used by individuals with visual disabilities.
“The use of laptop keyboards gives the object a unique physiognomy, unseen up to now,” explain the artists. “The keys produce sensations of wellbeing and relief, both to the eye and to the touch, perhaps due to the chance to use an object that is usually used because one has to, and not for pleasure.”
