Inspired by wasp nests and the bone structure of sea creatures, the recycled cardboard furniture created by Manchester Lazerian Studio fuses contemporary design and environmentally friendly practices.

The Bravais Armchair and Radiolarian Sofa, created as a collaborative project between furniture designer Liam Hopkins and artist Richard Sweeney, were produced for Interiors 2010 in Birmingham.

Using a combination of computer design techniques to create the structural form of the furniture, the designers then hand cut and glued the individual pieces made from locally sourced recycled cardboard to create these modern eco-furniture designs.
