Indoor air pollution causes 14 times more deaths than outdoor air pollution, reports the World Health Organization. The American-based Environmental Protection Agency reports indoor air pollution is one of five top environmental threats to human health.
Many conventionally built homes contain a wide range of toxic substances ranging from glues, paints, lead, volatile organic chemicals (VOCs), adhesives and formaldehyde. Yet most North Americans spend roughly 90% of their day indoors, making indoor air quality a serious factor in human health.

Enter the Eco-Green Ring, created by designers Park Jun Seok and Kwon Hye, a combo indoor air quality monitoring device and air purifier. The design concept utilizes filters to clean the air while also indicating via LED lights the air quality inside your home.
Modeled after a tree stump and made with recycled materials, the designers explain that the Eco-Green Ring encourages us to think about air quality and the importance of trees in filtering the air we breathe - both indispensable to our existence.
