"Our idea was to experiment, as in the tradition of design, with the main aim being to take a piece to the very edge of lightness", explains designer Dante Bonuccelli of the Wotu Chair.

The ultra light Wotu Chair, created for Italian Lamm design house, uses paper thin sheets of certified forest sourced beech wood with the layers folded back onto themselves and glued together to create natural tubes of wood.

The designer’s goals also included creating a chair that used the least amount of materials and generated very little waste during the production, while still maintaining structural integrity.
