Eighty living Fuschii v Gracillis tillandsia air plants are mounted on a hand-blown glass orb and then gently illuminated by a CFL grow lamp.
The Live Lamp, from toHOLD artist Kara Bartelt, is designed to grow the air plants without dirt, requiring only ultraviolet light and a weekly misting (disconnect the orb from electricity) to keep the plants thriving.
