Meeting global sanitation needs continues to be a serious health concern and poor sanitation is a considerable source of disease. In fact, according to The World Toilet Organization (WTO) more than 2.6 billion people (including 980 million children) do not have access to clean, safe and hygienic toilets.
Enter Poosh. The sanitation bucket concept offers a bucket-mounted toilet for use in places that lack access to proper toilets. The ingenious design can be used with a wide range of bucket shapes and sizes and includes biodegradable bags, complete with decomposition chemicals, to collect the waste. After two weeks the human waste (humanure) can be safely used as a fertilizer.
Poosh is made from recycled water bottles.
