Chilean artists Emilio Marin and Claudio Magrinif created a stunning urban tree installation in the Santiago Valley, Chile. The collaborative project features metal trees and wooden birdhouses, creating a complex urban environment for birds.
Although planting real trees might seem more appropriate to encouraging birds to cities, the Modular Tree Project provides numerous openings, perches and safe nesting spots for urban birds. The installation can be expanded as needed.
