In a bid to find a visual reminder on the importance of trees in offsetting various activities like flying, driving or even breathing, London-based designer Nitipak Samsen created a carbon dioxide tree measuring tape.
“This tape translates how much CO2 absorbed in the tree into the amount of activities rather than grams of CO2,” explains the artist.
Designed for children, the Tree Tape measures the circumference of the tree trunk and shows how much is absorbed by the tree over time. The Tree Tape is available online via the designer’s website.
