Brazilians Pee In Shower

E-mail Print

A new commercial from Saatchi & Saatchi in Brazil, is encouraging residents to pee in the shower in order to save water. Unfortunately, many nations around the world continue to urinate and defecate into clean water every time they use the toilet. Each toilet flush uses an estimated 20 litres per flush. Low flow toilets are better as they use about 5-6 litres of clean water per flush.

Urinating in the shower will potentially save a lot of water per day per household, providing Brazilians time their shower to coincide with the need to urinate.

It's not an official advertisement, but one proposed by "SOS Mata Atlantica", a NGO devoted to save Brazilian native forests. Personally I think that above mentioned NGO is trying to promote itself and to become "famous" with such controversial advertisement. Such "fame-busters" are not rare here in Brazil, unfortunately!
