Underwear Exposed

E-mail Print

Is there anything more intimate than underwear and lingerie? Unfortunately, many of our underthings hide a host of ugly secrets. ‘Pants Exposed: Know What’s in Your Knickers’ is a 60-second campaign film that reveals what really goes into making our most intimate garments – our underpants. Launching December 10th at the Southbank’s Celebration of the 60th Anniversary of the United Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) in the United Kingdom, the short-short film provides an interesting perspective on the impacts of clothing on people and the planet.

Sustainable underwear brands, Eco-Boudoir & Pants to Poverty have partnered with BBC Film Lab to produce the thought-provoking viral film. ‘Pants Exposed: Know What’s in Your Knickers’ highlights the environmental and ethical issues associated with creating an undergarment and shows us that even the most beautiful lingerie can come from the ugliest of origins.

‘Pants Exposed: Know What’s in Your Knickers’ is written & directed by Verity White of the BBC, produced in association with the Salon International de la Lingerie, Paris and sponsored by UK-based luxury ethical retailer, DeviDoll.com.
