The Canadian Conservative government, regardless of growing global public outcry, is refusing to admit there is anything wrong with the annual seal hunt. In fact, seal meat will soon be on the menu at Ottawa’s Parliamentary Restaurant for any politician that wants to show their support for the bloody annual hunt.
The exclusive Ottawa restaurant is only open to politicians and others who work on Parliament Hill.
The meat will appear on the menu after the 2010 hunting season and is seen as a gesture of support for the seal hunt. Canadian seal hunters continue to fight to overturn a recent European Union ban on seal products.
