The Hot Pocket Poster by Justin Perricone.

Reduced iron. Modified food starch. Maltodextrin. Autolyzed yeast extract. Dried egg yolks. Artificial butter flavor. Would you eat junk food if you knew exactly what is in it? The answer is probably not, but that hasn’t stopped designer Justin Perricone from exploring processed food ingredients in his artwork.

The Hot Pockets Poster includes all the ingredients used in this North American processed snack food. This is the first offering in an ingredient poster series Perricone is currently working on.

Would we eat junk food if we knew exactly what was in it? I think you are right - we wouldn't! I also think they need to stop labelling it junk 'FOOD' - it doens't even deserve to be called food! Sure we can swallow it, and sure we don't die immediately...but that doesn't mean we deserve to consider it edible! At the very least we need to recognise that it offers us nothing in terms of nutrition!
