Indoor vegetable gardens become living furniture at the hands of industrial designer Judy Hoysak. The Bean Screen, a room divider that grows beans and the Vege Table, a coffee table that grows lettuce, are elegant design solutions merging the desire to grow vegetables in urban areas with space constraints.

“Traditionally, vegetable gardens are thought of as utilitarian, and the potential beauty of vegetable plants are ignored in favour of non-edible ornamentals. I use existing negative space opportunities within the home to minimize the footprint of these products,” explains the artist of her work.
Each piece of vegetable furniture includes ready-made self-watering planters and T-5 fluorescent plant grow lights.

I want one, too. I'm looking online, but can't find one for sale or a price.
