Lazy farmers rejoice! The Australian Wunda Weeder is a solar powered vehicle that allows farmers to lie face down when tending their fields. Easier on the back, the Wunda Weeder provides an easy to use platform for farmers to go about their work – weeding, planting, watering, harvesting etc., – without all the bending.
The Wunda Weeder’s electric motor and drive system is run by onboard batteries, powered by the large solar panel that gathers solar energy while the farmer works. The innovative farming vehicle also has space for seedling trays, plus weeding and harvesting buckets that are accessible to the farmer when lying down. The Wunda Weeder’s operator ‘bed’ also converts into an outdoor reclining chair with chest support and an adjustable headrest.
The Wunda Weeder sells for AUS$8,000 (€5,540; US$7,080).
