Edible glasses made from agar agar derived from algae won the Jell-O Mold Competition in Brooklyn, New York. The 2nd annual event hosted by Gowanus Studio Space encourages anyone who loves Jell-O to use the gelatin-based substance in innovative ways.

Jelloware, from American-based The Way We See The World, won the competition with their colourful and edible glasses. Created from agar agar combined with yummy summer flavours like ginger-mint or rosemary-beet, the cups are designed to be disposed of by throwing them onto the ground so the algae can nourish plants and grass.
