Have you made a movie about a zombie riding a bicycle? Or maybe your film includes a dastardly villain driving a hybrid? If so, your film qualifies for the world’s first festival to focus on ‘green’ filmmaking – the Going Green Film Festival.
Get your films ready as the early bird registration discounted deadline is today (August 31, 2009). With the motto of REthink, REplenish, REcommit, the Going Green Film Festival’s three main categories include Green Production, where a film’s production worked to lessen the carbon footprint left on the planet (with documentation of this process); Our Planet, where the film’s topic covers third world issues, ecology, nature or the environment; and Hybrid/Alternative Transportation where the film features a hybrid vehicle, bicycle, electric scooter or public transportation.
Films can be any genre, but must be between 20 minutes and 120 minutes in length and have been completed between 2008 and 2010.
