Recycled Tetra Pak Chair

E-mail Print

Artwork by Fabian Jochen Kanzler.

The question of what to do with your unwanted juice, milk and coffee Tetra Paks just got a bit easier. Germany-based artist Fabian Jochen Kanzler has created simple furniture items from the discarded packaging.

Artwork by Fabian Jochen Kanzler.

With more than 137 billion Tetra Paks sold since the 1950s and very little recycling infrastructure available for the containers, Jochen Kanzler opted to use a mere 294 Tetra Paks to create practical furniture items such as his eco-friendly chair, while also highlighting that there are other possibilities for these unwanted materials. The chair is not only about seating, but a reflection of our consumption, explains the artist’s website.
