Discarded bits of roofing tile are upcycled into Trash Cube seats by Swiss designer Nicholas Le Moigne.

Utilizing unwanted scrap fiber cement from manufacturer Eternit, the designer squashed the off-cuts into a cube mold where it is then left to dry for several hours.
“The idea of the Trash Cube was to design the most simple object recycling as more scraps as possible,” explains the artist. “Tons of left over material is thrown away every year and the purpose of the Trash Cube was to find a way to recycle most of it.”

Trash Cube sizes and shapes vary, making each piece unique.
