Carhenge, a thirty-eight scrap car replica England’s famed Stonehenge, is a popular American tourist attraction located outside of Alliance, Nebraska on the High Planes. Designed by Jim Reinders as homage to his late father, the site has grown in popularity and attracts thousands of visitors each year.
The Carhenge monument is maintained by the Friends of Carhenge with additional sculptures added to the site from time to time. The new sculptures include a metal spawning salmon and another of Reinders’ creations – Ford Seasons - car sculpture comprised of four Fords celebrating the seasons.
