Container City in Cholula, Mexico.

Created entirely from recycled shipping containers, the Container City in Cholula, Mexico is, as the name suggests, a small urban area built entirely from containers. The 4500m2 (48,500sq.ft) urban space, about two hours from Mexico City, has 50 metal containers recycled into hippie stores, bookstores, art galleries, bars, funky restaurants, bakeries, juice bars, plus work and living space.

these are playful and fun!! I've seen the work of Peter DeMaria that uses containers for buildings and Shigeru Ban as well. Their work is innovative and inspires me to look for already existing objects that can be used for new purposes. great post

It's a great place with a view of the church if you're in the right restaurant.
Restaurants to recommend: Mongos, great noodles w/various choices to add to it; yummy. Also, Othello, a great Italian (real Itian) resturant with brisoula on the menu. Bakery, Hackl, fanatastic. Boutiques and bars; fun place to go and watch the college (UDLAP) crowd.
