The CVFR-S09 Solar Vest from Chinavasion is the latest in eco-fashion. The four solar panel vest lets you charge your gadgets while working or walking in the sun.
The vest operates as a portable (and rather stylish) charger for portable electronics with an 8,800mAh capacity, using 6W of solar panels and charging at 3.7V. The output voltage to charge your gadgets is 5V, 6V, 9V, or 12-20V and a power adapter (100-240V, 50/60Hz) so you can even power your laptop.
The solar panels on the back of the vest absorb energy and store it in the battery in the left pocket. When your portable electronic device needs recharging, you can just plug it into the battery and let it charge. The solar panels are also detachable and can be placed in the sunlight when you are working in shaded terrain.
The CVFR-S09 Solar Vest comes in black or brown, has eight front pockets (to hold all those portable devices) and one back pocket and is weatherproof. The manufacturers offer assurances that “chicks are attracted to the solar vest like moths to a lightbulb”.
